The idea of a white cube in the exhibition space is usually intended to eliminate any surrounding context from the artistic work, presenting a neutral space that guarantees it's autonomy and the aesthetic experience of the observer.

For Бартcелона GALLERY the idea of the white cube is presented as the counterpoint to the photographer's dark room... an enclosure of light where the art work merges with the soul of the space and the visitors eyes, creating a brand new and different 'everything' with each artist... And so, after the white cube is built, made from painted MDF, was to be contaminated, filled with emotional noise... and at the same time was to meet the technical and budget requirements... So simple but yet so complicated. Found objects, wrecked furniture, personal memories, eco's to Barcelona, the owners beloved city, suitcases of dreams for his new home, Belgrade, and a corner for Lupo, his dog. An 'absolute'. Full and empty. An 'absolute' where each individual object takes its place and fulfils its purpose. Creating a space-context, common denominator, which, despite its efforts to be overlooked, becomes the concept, the theme and the core of a vital and inter-personal artistic project.
